FAQ

How does browser detection work?

The tool uses the Navigator API, User-Agent Client Hints (for Chromium browsers), WebGL for GPU info, and feature detection for codecs and web APIs. No server requests are made.

What codecs does it check?

Video: H.264, H.265/HEVC, VP8, VP9, AV1. Audio: AAC, Opus, MP3, FLAC, Vorbis, AC-3. It uses canPlayType() and MediaSource.isTypeSupported() for accurate results.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. All detection runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript APIs. Nothing is transmitted to any server.

Why does it show "Unknown" for some fields?

Some browsers restrict access to certain APIs for privacy. For example, Safari limits navigator.deviceMemory, and Firefox does not support User-Agent Client Hints.

Can I use this for tech support?

Yes. Click "Copy All Info" to get a formatted text block with all your browser details. Paste it into a support ticket or chat.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. All detection works on mobile browsers. Touch points, device memory, and battery API may provide additional details on mobile devices.
