Speech Pacer — Free Speaking Pace Tool

Free speech pacing tool with visual and audible metronome for stuttering practice, public-speaking rehearsal, podcast delivery work, and language learning. Useful target rates: 110–130 wpm (~150–180 syllables/min) is the BBC / broadcast pace recommended for clarity, 130–160 wpm is normal conversational English, above 180 wpm starts feeling rushed to listeners. For non-English: Spanish and Japanese speakers naturally hit 200+ wpm; German tends to sit around 110–140. For stuttering practice the goal is fluency first — start much slower (40–60 syllables/min) and build up.
