FAQ
How does the pronunciation work?
The tool uses the Web Speech API built into your browser. It speaks each letter using a native-language voice. Quality depends on your browser and OS.
Which alphabets are included?
Latin (English, Spanish, French, German), Cyrillic (Russian), Arabic, Korean Hangul, Japanese Hiragana, Devanagari (Hindi), Greek, and Hebrew — 12 writing systems total.
What is IPA?
IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) is a standardized system for representing speech sounds. Each symbol represents exactly one sound, regardless of language.
Does quiz mode keep score?
Yes. In quiz mode, a random letter is spoken and you click what you think it is. Your score (correct/total) is tracked for the session.
Does this work offline?
Partially. The alphabet data is embedded in the page. Speech synthesis may work offline on some browsers (depends on installed voice packs).
