Frequently Asked Questions
How does the video enhancer work?
The tool uses FFmpeg WebAssembly to process video directly in your browser. Enhancement filters (sharpening, denoising, color correction) are applied using professional-grade algorithms. No video data is sent to any server.
What is the difference between Auto, Presets, and Manual modes?
Auto mode analyzes your video and applies optimal settings automatically. Presets are pre-configured enhancement profiles for common scenarios like cinematic look, noise removal, or low light correction. Manual mode gives you full control over every parameter with precision sliders.
Can I upscale video resolution?
Yes. You can upscale to 720p, 1080p, 1440p, or 4K using high-quality Lanczos interpolation. Upscaling works best when combined with sharpening to recover detail. Note that upscaling cannot add information that was not in the original video.
What does the magnifier do?
The 8x magnifier is a zoom loupe that follows your cursor over the preview. It shows individual pixels at 8 times their normal size, so you can inspect sharpening quality, noise reduction effectiveness, and compression artifacts before exporting the full video.
Is there a file size limit?
The maximum file size is 1 GB. Files over 500 MB may process slowly depending on your device. All processing happens in your browser, so performance depends on your computer's memory and processor speed.
