Audio Environment Simulator — Hear Sound in 60+ Scenes
Audio Scene is a free browser-based audio environment simulator that lets you hear how any sound, voice, or music would sound in over 60 different real-world and fantasy environments. From the deep reverb of a cave to the muffled warmth of an underwater world, from a space station to a haunted house — experience your audio like never before.
How Does It Work?
Audio Scene uses the Web Audio API to apply real-time audio effects directly in your browser. Each scene is a unique combination of reverb, echo, filters, distortion, noise layers, and pitch shifting — carefully tuned to recreate the acoustic properties of real and imaginary environments. No files are uploaded to any server — all processing happens locally on your device.

How to Use Audio Scene
- Upload any audio file (MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC, or other formats) by dragging it onto the page or clicking the upload area.
- Browse the scene grid and click any card to hear your audio with that environment's effect applied in real time.
- Use the Intensity slider to control how strong the effect is, and the Wet/Dry slider to blend between the original and processed audio.
- Switch between "With Effect" and "Original" to compare the processed and unprocessed versions instantly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I combine multiple environment effects?
You can layer effects by exporting the result and re-importing it. Each pass adds a new atmosphere layer — for example, apply "Cave" first, then "Radio" for a lo-fi underground broadcast feel.
How does the reverb simulation work?
Audio Scene uses convolution reverb — it convolves your audio with impulse responses recorded in real environments (concert halls, caves, cathedrals). This produces far more realistic results than algorithmic reverb, capturing the unique acoustic fingerprint of each space.
Can I preview effects before exporting?
Yes! Audio playback with the applied environment starts instantly. Use the play/pause button to audition different scenes in real time. Adjust intensity and wet/dry mix until you get the perfect sound, then export.
Can I adjust the strength of the effect?
Yes. The Intensity slider controls how strong the environment effect is (0%–100%), and the Wet/Dry slider lets you blend between the original and effected audio.
How many audio scenes are available?
Audio Scene offers over 60 unique environments organized into 8 categories: Nature, Architecture, Sci-Fi, Transport, Historical, Music & Retro, Communication, and Fun & Extreme.
