FAQ

How does the scanner detect my GPU?

The tool uses the WebGL API to read your graphics card vendor and renderer string. This works in all modern browsers without any plugins or downloads.

Is the gaming readiness score accurate?

The score is based on browser-detectable metrics (GPU renderer, CPU cores, RAM, display specs, network]. It provides a reliable estimate but cannot measure actual FPS or benchmark your hardware like a native application.

Does this tool send my data anywhere?

No. All scanning happens locally in your browser. No hardware data is uploaded, stored, or shared with any server.

Why is my GPU showing as "Unknown"?

Some browsers block WebGL renderer info for privacy. Try Chrome or Edge with hardware acceleration enabled in settings. Firefox may require changing webgl.enable-debug-renderer-info in about:config.

Can this replace a real benchmark like 3DMark?

No. Browser-based scanning cannot measure actual GPU/CPU performance under load. This tool gives a quick overview of your hardware capabilities — for precise benchmarks, use dedicated software.

Does it work on laptops and phones?

Yes. The scanner works on any device with a modern browser. Mobile devices will typically score lower due to mobile GPUs and smaller displays.
