FAQ
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Names, photos, and messages never leave your device. Shared links encode only text in the URL hash — no server storage.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes. The tool is fully responsive and works on all modern browsers, including Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android.
What are the three modes?
General: a simple moment of silence with no personal info. In Memory: a tribute to a specific person with name, dates, and photo. Event: remembrance of a specific occasion with event details.
Can I adjust settings during the ceremony?
Yes. In non-fullscreen mode, a settings panel appears below the candle where you can change the sound, volume, BPM, and toggle options in real time.
How does the sharing work?
The Share button copies a link with your tribute text encoded in the URL. Photos are not included for privacy. Anyone who opens the link sees the candle with your tribute pre-filled.
Will the candle animation drain my battery?
The candle uses lightweight Canvas 2D rendering. The animation pauses when you switch tabs or when the ceremony ends, so battery impact is minimal.
