Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from joining or merging audio?

Joining puts one file after another so they play in sequence. This tool overlays both files, so the music and the voice play at the same time — like a soundtrack under narration. For sequential joining use the audio joiner instead.

What is auto-ducking?

Ducking automatically lowers the background music whenever the voice is speaking and brings it back up during pauses, so the narration is always easy to follow. You can turn it off for a constant music level.

What if my music is shorter than the voice?

With "Loop music" enabled, a short track repeats seamlessly to cover the whole voice-over. If the music is longer than the voice, it is trimmed to match and fades out at the end.

Which formats can I use?

You can upload common audio formats such as MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC for both the voice and the music, and export the result as MP3 or WAV.
