Find the Right Battery for Your Watch
Free watch battery finder. Pick a brand and type your model (or Casio module number) to see the exact replacement battery — CR2016, SR626SW, LR44, CR1220 and dozens of other common cells. A full size chart below shows voltage, diameter and height so you can cross-reference any battery code you already have.
How to find your watch battery
If accessible, the battery often has its code printed directly on it — that is always the authoritative answer.
Choose Casio, Seiko, Citizen, Timex, etc. to narrow the search.
e.g. "F-91W", "DW-5600" or the Casio module number ("3229").
The right column shows the battery type plus any common equivalents (SR626SW / 377).
Before ordering, confirm the code stamped on the physical cell. Production batches sometimes differ.
Look up the exact battery (CR2016, SR626SW, 377 and more) for popular Casio, Seiko, Citizen, Timex, Tissot, Swatch and Fossil models.

Frequently asked questions
My model is not in the list — what now?
Most analog quartz watches use SR626SW (code 377), SR621SW (364) or SR920SW (371 for chronographs). Most plastic digital watches use CR2016 or CR2025. The safest way is to open the case back (if user-serviceable) and read the code printed on the battery itself.
What do SR and CR mean?
SR = silver-oxide cell (1.55V, stable voltage until depletion — ideal for watches). CR = lithium cell (3V, higher capacity — used in digital Casios with backlights). LR = alkaline (1.5V, cheaper but voltage drops earlier). Never swap SR for LR in a precision analog movement — the lower voltage can keep time incorrectly.
Does "SR626SW" mean the same as "377"?
Yes. Watch battery codes are assigned independently by several standards — IEC (SR626SW), Energizer (377), Renata, Maxell and others. The physical cell is identical; your local shop may stock whichever label is common in your region.
Why can't I replace a solar-rechargeable cell myself?
Solar cells (Citizen Eco-Drive, Seiko Solar, Casio Tough Solar) use specialised rechargeable cells like MT621, MT920 or CTL1616. They require correct polarity, insulation of the charging circuit and sometimes a capacitor reset. A regular button cell will destroy the solar panel circuit. Always visit a service centre.
How long does a watch battery last?
Typical life is 2–4 years for analog quartz, 5–10 years for efficient Casio digitals (like F-91W or G-Shock), and 10+ years for high-accuracy quartz. Chronographs burn batteries faster — often 12–24 months. Low-temperature environments shorten life by 20–30 %.
Is it safe to use a CR2025 instead of a CR2016?
The CR2025 is taller (2.5 mm vs 1.6 mm). If the case has room it will last ~55 % longer (165 vs 90 mAh) but the tighter cell spring in some F-91W variants will not close properly. Test-fit before committing — do not force a case back shut.
