In Looper mode arm a track, play a phrase, and stack more layers on top while the first loop plays.

Add reverb, delay, chorus or tremolo and adjust the tone from mellow to bright.

FAQ

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser with the Web Audio API. No downloads or plugins required.

What tunings are included?

Eight presets: C Major, G Major, A Minor, D Minor, A Pentatonic, G Pentatonic, D Dorian and Chromatic. Each is mapped to 7, 8, 17 or 21 tines.

How does the looper work?

Arm a track (REC), play notes on the kalimba, and the loop starts repeating as soon as you press stop. You can record up to eight tracks and combine them.

Can I export a MIDI file?

Yes. The sequencer pattern can be exported as a standard MIDI file and opened in any DAW such as Ableton, Logic or FL Studio.

Can I connect a MIDI keyboard?

Yes, if your browser supports Web MIDI (Chrome, Edge, Opera). Click “Connect MIDI” and the notes from your device will play the kalimba.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. All controls support touch. Multitouch lets you play chords with multiple fingers.
