Steam Deck Browser & System Capability Test

Free browser test for the Steam Deck and any other handheld with a Chromium browser. Reports GPU, RAM, screen and battery, then probes WebGPU, WebGL2, WebAssembly SIMD, SharedArrayBuffer, WebCodecs, Web HID, OPFS and the full audio/video codec matrix. Includes a 3-second render benchmark for FPS and jank.

How to use

1
Open in your Steam Deck browser

In Desktop mode, launch Chrome or Firefox via the Discover store, then visit this page. The detection is automatic.

2
Read the platform card

A green card means SteamOS detected. Otherwise the report shows generic browser capabilities — still useful for comparison.

3
Run the render benchmark

Click Start to run a 3-second canvas test. Aim for FPS above 50 and jank below 5% on a healthy Deck.

4
Copy or share the report

Click Copy report to put a plain-text summary on your clipboard, ready for forum posts or repair tickets.
