What is a TRID?

A Timbrica Robot ID — a unique 12-character identifier issued to each registered robot, e.g. TR-H7K3-M9P2-XV. It carries a form-factor letter and a check character that detects typos. The format is documented on the open spec page.

Is the registry free?

Yes. Registering a robot, the passport page, the logbook, transfers and the JSON API are all free. You only need a Timbrica account to register and manage robots.

Is my passport public?

The passport page is reachable by anyone who has the link or scans the QR code. You can also opt the robot into the public browse directory, or keep it unlisted so only people with the link can find it. Either way the entry is a public registry record — do not put private data in it.

Can I register a robot that is not in the catalog?

Yes. Choose “My model isn’t listed” and type the manufacturer, model and specs by hand. Custom models are stored on that passport only.

How do I transfer a robot when I sell it?

Open the passport, start a transfer to get a one-time code, and give the code to the buyer. When they claim it from their own account the passport and its whole logbook move to them.

Is this an official robot registration?

No. This is an independent, community registry — not a government or manufacturer system. It is useful for tracking, verification and resale history, but it does not replace any official registration that may be required where you are.
