How to detect the genre of a song

1

Upload an audio file (MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A, or any browser-supported format) by dropping it or clicking browse

2

Click "Analyze track" — the music model loads on the first analysis (about 50-180 MB depending on your device)

3

See the top genre match, runner-ups, possible subgenres, mood tags, dominant instruments, BPM and key

4

Expand "Show all genres" to inspect every label score

5

Use top-3 instead of top-1 for borderline cases the model marks with lower confidence

About confidence The model often confuses closely-related genres (jazz vs blues, house vs techno, death metal vs black metal). For borderline cases the top-3 list is more reliable than the top-1 verdict. Mood and instrument detection are usually more robust than genre.
