Frequently asked questions
What is a keyboard layout converter?
It is a tool that fixes text typed while the wrong keyboard layout was active. For example, if you typed "ghbdtn" on an English QWERTY keyboard but meant to type in Russian, the converter outputs "привет".
Which keyboard layouts are supported?
The tool supports 12 layouts: English (QWERTY), Russian (ЙЦУКЕН), Korean (2-set), Arabic, German (QWERTZ), French (AZERTY), Spanish, Portuguese (BR), Turkish, Ukrainian, Hebrew and Polish.
How does auto-detection work?
The tool analyzes the characters in your text and matches them against known character sets for each layout. The layout with the highest match percentage is selected as the source, and you see the confidence level.
Does it handle Korean syllables?
Yes. When converting to Korean, the tool composes individual Jamo characters into proper syllable blocks. When converting from Korean, syllables are decomposed back into individual key presses.
Is this tool free to use?
Yes, the tool is completely free. All processing runs in your browser — there is nothing to install or sign up for.
We can — and it's free! Just send us a quick message with your idea. If you'd like to discuss it in detail, leave your email and we'll get back to you. You can stay anonymous.
