Unlike app-based monitors, Timbrica works instantly in any browser — no downloads, no accounts, no subscriptions. Audio is sent directly between your devices using P2P encryption (WebRTC DTLS-SRTP), so nothing passes through external servers. It works on any phone, tablet, or laptop with a modern browser, making it perfect for travel, visiting relatives, or as a backup when your regular monitor is unavailable.

FAQ

Does it work with the browser minimized?

Yes! The parent unit continues playing audio in the background. On the baby unit, Wake Lock keeps the screen active to maintain the microphone connection.

How does the audio connection work?

Audio is transmitted peer-to-peer using WebRTC with DTLS-SRTP encryption — browsers connect directly once the initial signaling handshake completes.

How many devices can connect?

One baby unit can stream to up to 3 parent devices simultaneously.

What if the connection drops?

The monitor automatically attempts to reconnect up to 5 times. You'll see a status indicator showing the connection state.

Can I use it on iPhone and Android?

Yes, it works in modern browsers on both iOS (Safari) and Android (Chrome). No app installation needed.

Are the lullabies generated or pre-recorded?

5 sounds (rain, ocean, heartbeat, shush, white noise) are generated procedurally using Web Audio API. The lullaby melody is a pre-recorded MP3.
