Mouse Polling Rate Test with Live Hz Graph

A free tool to measure how often your mouse reports its position — in Hz. 125 Hz is the USB default of office mice; 500–1000 Hz is the gaming-grade range; the latest premium wireless mice from Razer, Logitech and Pulsar advertise 4000–8000 Hz. Each step up halves the worst-case input lag (from 8 ms at 125 Hz to 0.125 ms at 8000 Hz), which becomes noticeably smoother in fast-flick FPS aim and competitive aim-trainer scores. Use this to confirm a new mouse actually delivers its advertised rate, or to check whether your USB port / cable / dongle is dropping below it.

How to test your mouse polling rate

1
Move the cursor

Move the cursor inside the test area at a steady, fast pace. Measurement starts on the first move — no button click needed.

2
Read the result

Watch the large Hz number, the four stats (avg/min/max/samples) and the live graph. The detected rate badge shows the closest standard polling rate: 125, 250, 500, 1000 Hz or higher.

3
Check click duration

Click inside the test area to record how long you hold the button. The tool keeps the last 10 click durations and shows their average — useful for spotting an inconsistent or worn switch.
