Battery Identification by Size and Shape
A free tool for identifying a loose, unmarked battery. Measure its diameter and length on a calibrated on-screen ruler, or print a 1:1 paper gauge, and find out whether it is an AA, AAA, CR2032, 18650, LR44 or another standard cell.
How to identify a battery

Pick a mode
Choose "Measure on screen" for calibrated rulers, or "Print a gauge" to download a paper sheet.

Calibrate or print at 100%
On screen, match the blue rectangle to a bank card. On paper, print at Actual size and check the 50 mm bar.

Measure diameter and length
Measure the battery's diameter and its length or height; the tool matches both to a standard cell.
