Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is this speed test?
We use multi-connection testing with adaptive chunk sizing and measure bytes in real-time via ReadableStream. This gives results comparable to Ookla and Cloudflare speed tests.
What is bufferbloat and why does it matter?
Bufferbloat occurs when your latency spikes under load. Even with fast download speeds, high bufferbloat causes lag in games and choppy video calls. We grade it A through F.
What is the Connection Quality Score?
A 0–100 composite score that weighs download speed (30%), upload speed (20%), latency (20%), jitter (15%), and bufferbloat (10%), with penalties for packet loss.
Why is my speed different from other tests?
Speed test results depend on the server location, test methodology, and network path. Our test measures the real-world path to our server, which may differ from CDN-hosted tests like Fast.com.
