A free tool for recording vocals right in your browser — no software to install, no sign-up. Record as many takes as you like; each one becomes its own clip on a shared timeline that you can drag, split and duplicate to comp the best result from several attempts. Reverb, a three-band equalizer, a compressor and a noise gate apply in real time — you hear the processing while recording and playing back, and the exact same voice lands in the final file. Recording and processing run in the browser, and the finished vocal exports to MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC or M4A.

How to record vocals online

Allow the microphone

Put on headphones, press the record button and grant microphone access. Recording starts after a 3-2-1 count-in, which you can cancel.

Record a take

Sing or speak while watching the waveform and the input meter. Each recording creates a new clip on the timeline.

Comp the clips

Click clips to select them, drag them along the timeline, split or duplicate them. Earlier clips are audible while you record a new take.

Shape the voice

Open the effects panel: reverb (4 presets), a three-band equalizer, a compressor and a noise gate. The processing is audible immediately.

Export the recording

Press Export, pick a format and quality, then download the processed vocal.

Frequently asked questions

Can I record several takes?

Yes. Each recording creates its own clip on the timeline — you can select, drag, split, duplicate or delete it, comping the best result from several attempts.

Does what I hear match the exported file?

Yes. Reverb, EQ, the compressor and the gate run through one shared chain — for monitoring, for playback and for export. The preview sounds the same as the downloaded file.

Which microphone settings give the best quality?

Use a cardioid microphone if you have one and set the gain so peaks on the meter stay clear of clipping (around -6 dBFS). The browser echo and noise cancellation are turned off on purpose — they degrade vocals. Keep the mic 15-20 cm from your mouth, slightly off-axis.

Can I add background music or a backing track?

This tool is built for clean vocal recording. To sing along to a backing track and mix your voice with it, use the Recording Studio, which has a dedicated music track and a mixer.

What happens if I accidentally close the tab?

Recorded clips are saved automatically in the browser. The next time you open the tool you will be offered to restore the unfinished session.
